Short-Term Missions
A short-term mission is a 7-14 day ministry focused trip to a foreign nation. Teams usually consist of 3 to 50 team members. It is estimated that 3-5 million people world-wide go on short-term mission trips each year. PCPC provides a structured training program for all short-term mission leaders and teams. Teams must meet 4-6 times before departing. They also meet daily during the mission and at least once when they return. PCPC takes the Standards of Excellence in Short-term Missions very seriously.
PCPC sends mission teams to places where God is already working through PCPC - to support the needs of our long-term ministry partners. As short-term missionaries, we are called to serve in the same manner as Christ, who, "being in every nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness." (Philippians 2)
